Frozen Hot Chocolate

It's freezing outside. Like. Seriously. Cold. We measured snow this morning at 18 inches. What?!?! 2-3 inches?? Cool. Let's go build a snowman!! 18??? No. Go away, Elsa. Leave us alone.
*sigh* As much as I am sooo done with winter, it has its perks. Today I decided to try a little twist on my favorite beverage and I thought I'd share it with you. (Since I'm so nice and all ;) )
Is that not the cutest mug ever?!?! 😆😆
Anyways here's the recipe:
1. Make a cup of your favorite hot chocolate.
2. Chill in the freezer til it's cool. (Mine took about 40 minutes)
3. Go outside and scoop up a bunch of clean snow.
4. Fill your mug with snow and then add your hot chocolate.
5. Mix in more snow til you have a nice almost ice creamy consistency.
6. Enjoy!

Christmas Scripture Writing Plan: Day 25

Luke 2:17-20
"And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them."

Christmas Scripture Writing Plan: Day 24

Luke 2:13-16
"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger."

Christmas Scripture Writing Plan: Day 23

Luke 2:8-12
"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."

Christmas Scripture Writing Plan: Day 22

Luke 2:4-7
"And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."

Christmas Scripture Writing Plan: Day 21

Luke 1:51-56
"He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house."

Christmas Scripture Writing Plan: Day 20

Luke 1:46-50
"And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation."
